Surprise!
It's me! For now. I'm afraid that I've had to take a forced blog hiatus, and there is no end in sight. I simply do not have time in my work day to post. In fact, I don't even have time to be writing this...

Hurricane Party
This weekend, we're heading to Jeckyl Island where I will be in Kim2's outdoor wedding. Start praying for us! Tropical Storm Bonnie and Hurricane Charley are both headed that way!

Back to School
I'm sitting at my new desk in my new classroom at a new school. My desk drawers are full of school supplies, my walls are covered with posters, and my files are filling with Week One activities and handouts. I have stacked and numbered 400 books to hand out to my 140+ students. No matter how much I prepare, I know that next week will still be a bit crazy. Going from summer break to being on stage and on your feet 5-6 hours a day can be a draining transition. And our assistant pricipal just informed us that our projected enrollment for 2290 students has somehow climbed to an enrollment of 2375. We simply don't have the staff or space for that many students if they actually show up.
I'm not worried. Teaching is always an adventure. Looking forward to next week!
